Loop of unloading and loading filament

I actually have the following issue with my new mk3s (First Print)

After i´ve done the setup process i wanted to print my firtst print, first i tryes one of the examples that are on the shipped sd-card.

I started the print and the printer asked me to unload the filament (why the hell he does it, the filament from the firtst layer calibration was loaded and i wanted to print whith it.)

Then the printer asked to load a filament, as wished i´ve done this and a little amount of filament was squishing out of the nozzel (it seem every thing is working ;-))

Then the printer looks like he wants to start printing but instead he askes to unload the filament.

I was captured in this endless loop of unloading and loading filament.

Please help me

Make sure you have the filament sensor installed correctly.
If you turn the magnet in the wrong direction, the printer believes that the filament has run out.

There are a number of topics here on sticking sensor.

What fixed mine was putting a thin shim under the sensor, to raise it a bit. Others trimmed a bit off the flag.

If the magnets were not installed correctly, how did the printer print the test zig-zag lines? I have the same problem with my brand new MK3

Have you try to switch off the  filament sensor and tried to print? The filament flows without problem? the problem is in the sensor... the extruder ends printing in the air? the problem is in another place ( may be in the gears  configuration )

for me it was the installation, there was this guide, but did not see that the connector had 2 rows of pins, just thought it was a connector that actually fitted like all the rest of them, so when moving the connector a row down, my filament sensor began to work perfectly..

@rasmusdc

i have had the same for  some time, could not work out what is wrong.

the quick fix is to turn off the sensor.

all this has started again as i have just put 3.90 FW in.

will have a look at what you have come up with

Thanks

@rasmusdc

Hi still not fixed, you say there was two rows of pins it that on the main board?

had sensor/extruder to bits that many times and cant see anything wrong, just thinking could it be plugged in wrong at the board end.

will try and have a look later as i have a print going now.
