LCD screen is blank
I completed the kit, and switched it on. The LCD screen is blank and dark, no glow. I took off the Delta cover on the PSU, and there is a green light indicating it is receiving power. I opened the EINSY box, it also has a green light, so it is receiving power. I removed the LCD connectors and confirmed their orientation and position. I have followed all troubleshooting points and checked the wiring and still a blank and dark screen.
I have been hugely impressed with Prusa, it's products and build manual hard copy and online.

Either the two cables that go into the screen are crossed over or there is a fault with the screen or one of the cables.
Best bet is to log on to Prusa 3D (where you bought the printer), go to Support and start a live chat session. This is a big part of the reason why you paid more to buy a Prusa.

I built my a couple weeks ago (first 3d printer) and had the same thing happen. I ended up pulling the 2 ribbons out of the Aluminum channels and replugged each at both ends making sure they were in the right order and it worked. I carefully put them back into the channel and everything has been perfect since. I'm not sure what happened at first, possibly did not have the ends completely seated or I was overzealous in my ribbon routing and had it pinched but I have run it over 30 hours total with no issues at all. Hope this helps!

My apologies - my directions were incorrect. You should be able to converse with a real support person without leaving messages or sending emails.
Got to www.prusa3d.com and then to the ESHOP, log in with your account, which should take you to your account page where you can see your past orders, etc and Chat will appear at the bottom right corner of the page. You will then be able to do a live chat session.

Hi Alan, no, I was in contact with Prusa thru' Chat and they were very good. I tried to buy a replacement LCD but Brexit has stopped that!!! The UK has been removed from the shipping directory. What I really need is fully compatible ribbon cables.
I am not interested in pursuing warranty claims, it is a kit. I have to wait.

Hi Dustin,
I used the chat line in the Prusa shop to connect with Technical help. The backup was tremendous. The ribbon cables were replaced along with the power pack and the LCD. Eventually the motherboard was replaced and printer started up and has run perfectly ever since.
Prusa Research customer service has been exemplary through out and the finished printer is brilliant, I could not be more impressed.

More often than not it's the two cables are swapped at one end. Easy to do, too.
