RE: Just assembled and calibration prints have problems

Thank you for the confirmation. It just seemed wrong that it would be so hard to pull it up like that!

So pulling up is not the same as tearing.  The sheet may be difficult to pull up because you have good adherence.  I think that is a good problem.  What I mean is that while lifting the print, and after lifting the print, the print lines do not, and will not, separate as you pull on the corners.  When I was too close or too far, those lines separated.

Success!

I finally settled at -1.280. When I went to -1.300, the nozzle caught on the already-printed filament. I suppose I could continue to fiddle and go up or down .001 if I really wanted to, but I don't see that being a productive use of time. If I'm wrong, let me know.

I got my first 3D printer back in February and that (a Creality Ender 3 Pro) has been a nightmare to get a 1st layer down, much less anything else done on it, so it's wonderful to have my Prusa working and printing! I printed a tree frog, which is fitting for where we live because we have a creek going through our lot and during the summer we get a froggy serenade many evenings and see frogs hopping about all over the place.

You are right. Happy printing!

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
Find out why this is pinned in the general section!
