HELP Selftest Error: Heater/Thermistor not connected!
Just assembled brand new Mk3
latest 3.5.1 firmware
Both voltage supply cables measure 24V correct polarity
fuses ok
heater lead resistance measures 15 ohms
Tried (upon forum search recommendations):
tried swapping psu panic leads
Still fails self test
I verified with an infrared thermometer that the heater and table are NOT heating.
How do I fix this???
Re: HELP Selftest Error: Heater/Thermistor not connected!
An update,
After verifying 24V at the heater plug on the board when the red led lights,
I removed the leads from the plug, then reseated the leads, and plugged it back into the board.
It then passed the hothend test, self test proceeded fine afterwards
thanks!
Re: HELP Selftest Error: Heater/Thermistor not connected!
Hi Robert, this suggests a poor connection,
if you didn't find anything obviously wrong, it would be prudent to check the connections again to ensure that everything is indeed tight, especially the cable crimps on the connectors (literally try pulling the cables out of the connectors, they should not budge a micron... if they move at all, they need re crimping!). if there is a loose crimp or connection, you could get localised heating which will damage something, over a period of time.
