Getting "calibration failed: check the axes and try again"

Brand new MK3. Kit assembled, and passes self test. In running xyz calibration, with paper under the nozzle, the z axis moves close to the bed (measured at 5 sheets of paper thickness) and immediately says "calibration failed check the axes and try again"

Z axis also seems to have a lot of noise when it moves.

I don't find that error message in the manual or online, and similar error messages' solutions all involve the PINDA probe, which seems to be working. We have tried adjusting it up and down to no avail. What to try next?

Re: Getting "calibration failed: check the axes and try again"

I just fixed mine, same exact thing. I turned off the printer, loosened the two screws at the top of the two z axis atlas threads. I manually ran the z up and down then tightened them again. Next I went into setting and manually raised and lowered z (carefully). It moved much smoother. I reran the wizard and passed.
Of course now I can't load the filament and can't find where it is misaligned... (that's why I'm in the forum now).
