RE: First prints (need calibration help!)
From the photos seems clear that you need to adjust the first layer calibration but i'm no expert.
Which is your z value? Have you followed the "life adjust Z - My way" post? ( https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-i3-mk3s-mk3-assembly-and-first-prints-troubleshooting/life-adjust-z-my-way/ )
I think you need to take closer the nozzle to the bed, it seems too far away. Maybe be try with -100 increments until it seems squeezed but solid, with no transparency
if you are, for example, at -1000 move it live to -1100 and then to -1200 and so on, so you can see how it afects the print square from the post.
From the post Live adjust the image " " shows examples, whith the following explanation:
"when the life adjust value is too high, the surface gets a little bit rough and dim. you can feel it very good when you fondle over it with your fingers.
at the edge with the -650 & -600 µm, you can even see some little crumbles, small blisters and very fine strings. i stopped here at -650 µm because i won't risk to damage my PEI sheet."
-575 semms pretty good to me, in your photo it seems to need to squeeze the filament.
RE: First prints (need calibration help!)
@masterhead
I think that's definitely part of it. But I think there's something else going on too.
Here's what it looked like when I printed the file attached to the live Z adjustment post that you shared. Z height definitely needs to be adjusted, but there's something else going wrong too.
It also looks like my PINDA probe is slightly off center of the target. I wonder if it's off enough to cause issues with printing.
RE: First prints (need calibration help!)
PINDA height matters. X - Y location - not so much.
Prusa sets home based on the PINDA location - not what the heat bed shows. What you picture is fine.
And don't just print out your calibration square and look at it.
Actively change Z while it is printing until you get a nice solid surface. That value will be saved by the firmware for the sheet you specified.
RE: First prints (need calibration help!)
As Robert-rmm200 said i think you should live adjust the Z and once its in place review next steps.

Also, if not already, it might be a good idea to use the "7x7 mesh bed leveling" option in order to improve the variations of the bed, it takes a bit longer to start printing but it's worth the shot
