First prints following upgrade from MK3S to MK3S+ excessive stringing/oozing

I have recently upgraded from MK3S to MK3S+ and in the meanwhile, bought and replaced the old hotend with a new pre-assembled one from Prusa.

I run the latest firmware for MK3S+ and software (PrusaSlicer). I have never changed the stock settings before or after the upgrade. I have never used temperature settings other than 215/60 (first layer) and 210/60 (following layers).

There's excessive oozing during preheating that wasn't there before. Then I noticed during some prints, there's also excessive stringing in places where the nozzle travels some distance between extrusions.

None of these were present prior to the upgrade. I understand that these can be fixed by tweaking retraction and/or temperature settings, however I wish to first understand why these started happening in the first place.

Thanks

I would check to make sure the nozzle is completely tightened.  it often needs a little twist while heated.

Even ones that come assembled from Prusa? I did not have to do this with the original one that came with the kit.
