First print Review

Hey guys,

After the issue with the wrong pulley I have my new purse Mk3S running *jumpingaround*

What do you think about it?

I am not a 100% happy. The small gaps between the wall and infill and the top surface of the letters is not as good as wanted.

Does anyone have an idea what to change?

Need more information. Nozzle size, filament type, and temperatures.

Are you using pre-sliced GCodes as provided by Prusa?

The best example of what you can expect from your Prusa are the printed parts provided by Prusa. Look at the LCD housing, for example.

Those are all printed on machines like yours.

Thank You.

I used the pre sliced file from the ad card. Afterward I printed a 3D Benchy which looks very nice.

Can it be that the pre sliced parts are not so good?

What would normally cause a problem seen above?

@seb-heider

Have you checked that you have the 16 tooth motor pulley's on your printer?
the print looks stretched, from top to bottom of the letters (Y axis)...   suggesting the Y axis may have the wrong pulley (Just grasping at straws)
... also, when I have printed it, the prusa logo is often slightly over extruded...   you can reduce the flow ratio from 95% to 90% on the LCD

regards Joan

The pre-sliced GCodes just give you a starting point. You have a lot better control of things like top layer if you slice your own.

If you do have problems with one you slice yourself, save it as a .3mf file, zip it up, and post it here.

People will be able to see all the slicer settings you use.

@joantabb

It's just the image preview which is stretched.

But thank you

@robert-rmm200

Ok, I will try it out a bit with several settings. If I encounter bigger problems I will let you know.

Thanks 🙂

Just a small remark- presliced g-code is dedicated for corresponding filament material, like PLA, PETG etc.
