RE: First layer PETG not sticking to print bed
It might sound stupid but hairspray really helps.

RE: First layer PETG not sticking to print bed
It's pretty much been confirmed that some (many? most?) of the 3d print stick-um products are either repackaged hair spray or of a very similar formula.
The hairstylist that my wife and I both use took a look-feel of Layerneer and said it is quite possibly a so-called unscented hair spray and gave the brand name of 'Rave' as one possibility.
I like Layerneer as it works very well and a bottle lasts a very long time with my rate of usage, so I will most likely continue to use it instead of trying to save a few bucks.
No doubt about it.

I tried two different reels of PETG (both by the same brand, eSUN), very poor results. But got a reel of ERYONE today and it's amazing in comparison. What I found was the other brand just wouldn't stick well so I was unable to calibrate the Z amount properly, I couldn't tell if the nozzle was too close or too far away. The new stuff is amazing and it shows in the print, the first layer is flawless.

Just wanted to reinforce that the soap and water does the trick, should someone hesitate.
