First layer issue
Hey, I having trouble with my first layer, do you have any idea? (On an mk3s) I think I lowered the Nozzle a bit too much because the PLA was not sticking. May be I should roll back my Z level settings, and clean the heat bed?
first layer settings before (when the PLA was not sticking for large print) :
thanks
RE: First layer issue
Hi Alakme,
I just wash vigourously with Dish Soap and rinse mine then immediately dry with plain paper towels. no other treatment

RE: First layer issue
@joantabb thanks for your help. I've washed my bed and increased my z offset and It's a lot better. The PLA is sticking (still few issue but I think I've to double check my z offset). Thanks a lot.
RE: First layer issue

RE: First layer issue
Hey Joan, I'm not using the 7x7 mesh bed levelling but I found that my X axis is not moving freely anymore. It become a bit harder to move in 2 spot (at the very right of the axis and at the middle left). I will unmount some part to understand what going on.
RE: First layer issue
Hi Alakme,
Before you rip things to pieces, try lubricating the X axis bearings

it might help.
and I find that 7x7 mesh bed levelling, helps get a good first layer.
