First layer calibration fine, first print layer way too low
Hi,
I can't seem to get my first print to start right. I do every calibration, everything says it's A ok. My first layer calibration comes out great. Included files from the SD card print right (at least first few layers, I don't need them so I cancel after a couple layers).
When I try to print file from PrusaSlicer or S3D (with the official profiles) Either my first layer or the second, the print head gets way to close to the build plate. Not so close as to emboss it, but close enough that no filament can extrude.
When the issue arises, I stop the print. I then try to run the first layer calibration and it's completely off. I need to redo the whole XYZ calibration again.
Been caught in this loop for a day now. How can I figure out what's wrong?
Than you for your help
edit: caption don't seem to work, tried to work around that

I had a similar experience. Check your Pinda Height.

RE: First layer calibration fine, first print layer way too low
I did the preflight check of the tie wrap distance.
Should I try to diminish or increase the distance between the pinda and the build plate?
thanks

try reading and using jeff jordans life-adjust-z-my-way procedure to set your live Z

Thank you! Trying it right now, I'll come back with the result

If only your own sliced files are giving problems, perhaps best to start with photos of those. And even zip and upload one of the gcodes or 3MF's you are trying to print (in Plicer, save the project, zip it, and drag and drop into the text box). Why? It sounds like a slice issue, not a first layer issue. In another recent post someone was complaining their 0.4 mm first layer wasn't sticking (arggh!) ... thus with the information provided so far, it's anyone's guess what the issue really is.

Figure it out! The hot end was mounted "lower" in the extruder assembly. Reference to this post : https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-i3-mk3s-mk3-others-archive/calibration-failed-check-axis-and-run-again/paged/2/#post-154011
The extruder must be pushed against the top of the assembly otherwise there is no way calibration and first layer will work properly.
Thank you for your support.
