First layer calibration, don't know what "perfect" looks like
Hi! I got the MK3S+ kit, put it together, and lo, it passed the self-test, xyz calibration, and off we go! The biggest guesswork so far is the z height adjustment for the first layer; it's really hard to judge how "squished" those lines are.
First print was a benchy. I think it's beautiful, but don't know if it can be better. Is it meaningful to comment on my z offset based on a couple of pictures? Seems like the bottom view might be good for evaluation; do the "brush strokes" mean it's still a little too high? It stuck fine (as far as I could tell). I included the side view just because it's my first print ever and I like it.
Prusament PLA, sparkly (obviously), z offset -1.580, defaults pretty much everywhere I could accept them.

Congrats on the build, your benchy looks excellent and you z-offset is pretty good. I think you could go just a bit lower. Notice in the picture below how the lines of fill snug up to the perimeter? That is what you are aiming for.

Thank you @sylviatrilling. I went precisely one bit lower (-1.580 -> -1.600) to print Buddy. I suppose it's apples/oranges since I don't know what each's first layer should look like, but Buddy's tummy looks pretty good to me.
I'm going to call it good (unless I get other feedback) - and frankly way better than I hoped for the first two prints.
