First Layer Calibration
Hello,
Just finished building the MK3S+ and want to rerun the First Layer Calibration
Where is it? Its not under the main menu list here https://help.prusa3d.com/en/article/first-layer-calibration_112364/
"You can also recalibrate the first layer later on from the LCD-menu - Calibration - First Layer Calibration"
Thanks
RE: First Layer Calibration
On the main menu. You can find it 😉 There are menus and sub-menus. The instruction manual is quite clear. Read it.
RE: First Layer Calibration
Hi Kodiak,
I would enable 7x7 Mesh bed levelling (Via the LCD Menu) this tests 49 points on the build plate instead of the standard 9 points.
then I would use Jeff Jordan's "Life Adjust 'Z' My Way"
https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-i3-mk3s-mk3-assembly-and-first-prints-troubleshooting/life-adjust-z-my-way/
this was created in the Mk2 printer era, when the first layer calibration tool was called V2 Calibration and was supplied on SD Card. (Unlike the Mk3 series printers when it is integrated within firmware).
however the "Life Adjust 'Z' My Way" process is, in my opinion, much easier to understand
I Hope this helps you,
regards Joan

Settings, Live-Z Adjust ... it is a ways down the settings menu. Page 35 of the manual.

RE: First Layer Calibration
Oh - and there is also the method to invoke the full layer one calibration, also listed in the manual. A zig zag pattern with a micro dot 1cm x 1cm coupon. This calibration must be completed or the Live-Z adjustments may be lost with power downs. So make sure you complete the full cal at least once.
