First batch print.

Hi,

I finished the MK3S + build yesterday, had a succesful calibration and printed succesfully twice (2 runs) the arms of the Jeep model found through the QR code that came with the kit.

Since the first 2 prints came out fine I thought I'd set a slightly bigger batch to print. This is where the issue started. The layers don't set properly I think. I've added a pixtire. Hope you can see the details with what's wrong.

The filament is the PLA silver from Prusa.

And the setting set at 0,3 mm layer height, first at 0,35 mm

Many thanks in advance!

Hello and welcome to the Prusaforum!

As it is, you are too high with the Z-firstlayer. I would go deeper step by step in 0.05mm steps and reduce the layer height to 0.2mm (firstlayer 0.25).

The print bed should be well leveled and the axes aligned parallel to the print bed. It is best to clean the printing plate with a grease-dissolving detergent, rinse with plenty of warm water and then dry with a lint-free cloth. Do not touch the printing plate with your fingers any more.

Reslice with a 0.2mm first layer.  You will never get a 0.35mm first layer to stick properly with a 0.4mm nozzle.

Cheerio,

Many thanks for your reply.

I will try those now. Was thinking there was probably a noob mistake involved. 😅
