Unable to start first print

Got my MK3S+ recently and got it assembled and calibrated without any major problems. However, whenever I try to do the first test print, something goes wrong, and it first tells me to unload the filament, then immediately load it back in. Once I’ve done this, it seems to want to start printing again but runs into the same issue and restarts the cycle again.

Everything seems to be plugged in correctly and I’ve factory reset the entire machine and recalibrated, and nothing seems to work.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

Forgot to mention: As suggested in other discussions, I tried unplugging the filament/IR sensor to see if it was giving faulty readings, but nothing changed and I ran into the exact same issue.

It reads like your filament sensor is not working.  Check the connections at both ends.

You can read the state of the sensor on the LED screen as a check and/or disable the sensor in settings as a temporary workaround.

Cheerio,
