First 3D printer, first print. Bottom ok?

my first time with a 3-D printer. Just finished building it yesterday and did the Benchy after trying to figure out how to do the live Z axis configuration. To me I thought overall it came out really great and I’m blown away by the quality of this printer. My only question is does the bottom of it look correct as it looks like toothpaste coming out of a tube to me.  Any other thoughts much appreciated.

thanks!

It's a bit hard to see the fine detail in the photos, but your first print looks better than most similar examples.  Congratulations!

I really wish they did not have the logo on the bottom, so we could get a better idea of the bottom layer solid infill.

Have you run one of those 3x3 square Z calibration prints?  Those will give you a very good idea of how your first layer is across the build plate.

Thanks, JSW, I just found that thread and did the square and live view adjust and ended up dropping the nozzle some and it seems to have made a huge difference on the bottom layer (assuming the bottom layer is supposed to be almost injection molded smooth?)

thanks again. for the square The bottom right is where it was originally and it worked it’s way to the top left.  My first adjustment was way too low then started bringing it back up.
