filament sticking to nozzle

Prusa mk3s self build

Had it about a month with very few problems.

All of a sudden the start of every bead is getting stuck to the nozzle and then dragging - i.e. not sticking to the base. Obviously this then gets stuck to the nozzle on the next pass.

This pic shows what i mean:

I have tried

  • varying temps for nozzle and bed
  • changing filament (all PLA at the moment)
  • re-calibration - started very high and dialed it down to the right level
  • making sure bed is clean every time

I am at a loss...

I think the cause is that while the nozzle heats up, the bead leaks out slightly, then when it does the bed level calibration, this gets stuck to the outside of the nozzle and this then drags around causing problems.

What is really odd is that it was find for a long time, and this just started happening with no changes made to any of the set up (as far as I can tell/remember)

Can anybody give me some tips to fix please?

edit: I also swapped ne a new nozzle in case that was partially blocked (making the bead curl up) and then have also done a cold pull on this new nozzle too.
