Extruder Spring details?

So I lost my extruder springs along with some misc other hardware that I had in a bag. The other hardware is easy to get my hands on, but does anyone know the size and force of the extruder springs? Prusa doesn't sell them in the store so I have to try and find them online. The instructions just list them as 5 x 15 springs.

Yes, they are listed as 5 x15 springs and in the instructions for the build the number of turns for the bolts to tension the idler. The springs are standard curl and diameter and material. Adjusting the tension of the idler can be adjusted, ie trial and error and a few turns more or less on the bolts. Its not an exact science. I have other printers that have needed mods to adjust tension on the idler, because of lack of grip or too much grip. Some filaments are different even at the same so called diameter ie 1.75mm. Adjust as you need to. ie tighten or loosen the bolts equally.

I get that it isn't exact, but if I buy springs that are too light duty I won't get a grip on the filament, and if they are too heavy they will crush the filament, I'm looking for guidance on how much force the springs apply. Is it 1 kg? 10 kg? I'm sure Prusa did plenty of testing at some point in choosing the springs he did, so I'm trying to get as close to the springs that I lost.

@mark.j2 OK, but you are making more of this than maybe necessary. 3D Printing needs adjustment always.

Contact support - use "Live Chat" on the shop pages. I think they may be able to send you some replacements, if you ask nicely.

You will have to pay for postage, but if you order a few other things at the same time, that may help mitigate the cost.

Yes your definitely need to buy other stuff as the postage is high. Maybe ask if they can do a slower delivery. OR buy some PEI sheets and spare nozzles 😉

Will Uxcell 0.8mmx6mmx15mm 304 Stainless Steel Compression Springs do?
Found on Amazon (USA). Could be close enough, will find out when arrives.

Short answer: Uxcell 0.8mmx6mmx15mm 304 Stainless Steel Compression Springs is not a good replacement.

Long answer: Diameter is 1mm larger, does not spring back from max compression staying permanently deformed to 13 mm from 15 mm. Tension is roughly 30% weaker due to less windings and/or inferior-to-purpose alloy vs. original springs.

Closing the loop on this, I got mine from support. Payed quite a bit for shipping but it was the easiest solution in the end.

To help anyone else searching, the springs themselves are approximately:
15.5mm long,
3.25mm ID
.8 mm wire diameter
5 mm OD
9-10 coils, and they have closed ends.

A little late, but maybe it helps someone:

A simple and free way to get a variety of springs is to "harvest" them from various dispensers.
Soap dispensers for example.
In virtually every dispenser for liquid products you will find such springs.
The things can be disassembled very easily and the springs are easy to remove.
Just buy as many different products as possible and you'll soon have a nice collection together.
(And you do something good for the environment, because you reduce the garbage ...)

I know the shop sells the actual spring, but RS components delivers to my house in a few days, while Prusa takes ..... longer.
