Difficulty reassembling extruder

The filament sensor in my i3 MK3S+ jammed, and I had to disassemble the extruder to get it unstuck. Now I can't get the motor piece to align properly. Something is pushing back, but I don't see anything. I bought this printer pre-assembled, so I don't know how it was put on originally. I've looked at the assembly instructions, but I can't see exactly how it would be done in this position.

the extruder fan side of the extruder assembly. There is a gap between the plastic piece attached to the motor and the piece attached to the rail.

Are you following https://help.prusa3d.com/guide/5-e-axis-assembly_169235

You may have fitted the idler too soon ... pictures from the other side might help.

Or contact Prusa Support:  Log into your Eshop account, navigate to Company, click Contact Us and 24/7 live Chat is one of the options.

Cheerio,

RE: Difficulty reassembling extruder

I did not fit the idler, this was a pre-assembled printer. I can't find any images in the assembly guide that resemble what I'm doing. I was following this: https://help.prusa3d.com/article/ir-filament-sensor-troubleshooting-mk2-5s-mk3s_112226 and now I can't seem to reverse the process without forcing it.

I think I figured it out. The multi-colored wire bundle from the motor was pinching somewhere that I couldn't see. I pulled on it and got it aligned with the channel on the 3d-printed piece attached to the motor better. That got the two halves to seat properly.
