Continuing first layer issues

To high?  To low? To fast?

Is too high. You shouldn't be able to see print sheet between the lines on fist layer -that is, first layer must be solid.

I disagree.  If anything you are a fraction too low, 'though your picture isn't sharp enough to be certain.

Your adhesion problems are caused by a dirty print-bed.  Look up threads here about cleaning your steel  sheet.

I got closer and it got better (acceptable).  Printing a large piece now and I'll try closer still on the next piece.  Thanks!

Where were you able to gain success?  With all the disagreement, I can't wait to hear the solution.
