"Check axes" calibration failed afer upgrade Mk2S -> Mk2.5
I finally installed the Mk 2.5 upgrade but now I am running into problems during the initial calibration. After I have been asked to move the Z axis all the way up manually and the calibration starts, it moves down as it is supposed to do. The extruder stops right above the bed, the PINDA probe light turns off but the calibration stops at this point with the "Calibration failed! Check the axes and run again" message.
I already cleaned and lubricated the axes and checked if the PINDA signal is actually read in the LCD. I also tried another factory reset which has been here https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/postid/220612/ as well as the method of making sure that the z-axis motors were all the way up here https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/postid/123587/
All the axes move freely when I move them manually via the menu and since the z-axis (apparently) stops at the correct height I don't know what to check next. Currently the x/y position of the PINDA relative to the first sensor point is about 6mm to the left and 2 mm in front of it, but since this is the initial calibration I am not worried about it - or should I be? Any suggestions what to check next?

For me, I had this error once and had to disassemble and reassemble. I was very careful to made sure I followed the steps very closely.

Solution: carefully selecting the firmware version
Solved: I'm a bit embarassed but the solution was the correct firmware. I accidentially flashed the Mk. 2.5S firmware and not the one for Mk. 2.5 (without the "S").
embarrassed.
It happens to all of us - happy printing!
