Beginner questions
hey guys... I am new here. I just buy th mk3s complete. I am happy with that!!!!
I have some questions. First of all the the calibration. I put off the sheet and I just hold a paper and leave the machine to make the rest. After that I make the first layer calibration. I don't know which is the best. I make some to compare with 1.350,1.300,1.250,1.200. I see good layer in 1.300 but I don't know if is this thin. Some times with 1.250 I have not sticky print in bed so the stuff come off while printing. This may be my room because I live In island.
My 2nd questions is I must do something after a while with oils or something. I didn't read something in manual. I am not a manual guy so maybe I pass it.
The last one (for now 🙂 ) is that I want to enclosure that thing. I lake diy enclosure with ikea. As I read the psu suffers from hot temps so I must put in out. In thingiverse I found some but as I see is not for mk3s Have anybody find something with good results?! do I need extra screws?!
Thanx a lot.
RE: Beginner questions

RE: Beginner questions
Simple question, when doing the first layer calibration should the extruder fan be running?
I ask because the three times I have tried to do this the PTFE tube blocks due to heat creap.
The print fan is running but not the extruder. MK3S. Latest firmware.

Yes. The extruder fan has to be running. (the Noctua fan on the left) This fan always runs when the extruder temp is above 50 C.
RE: Beginner questions
any thoughts?!
RE: Beginner questions
I would check the connection and wires. I would also check with a second fan.
