Again, first layer

I also have some trouble with the first layer. I used the 75x75 single layer square to set the Z-calibration. I dialed it a lot down and it is much better now. Is this the value I should be aiming for? I was under the impression the layer started to bulge when I went lower with the setting.

However, I have a part which keeps being not as smooth (whole print with the same Z value)

Backside:

On the backside I can see the form of a print I made in the past, could this be the problem?

That wave pattern tells you the nozzle is too low. I'd back up a bit. You also want to look into something like this https://www.printables.com/model/105404 as it allows you to test up to 8 live Z settings in one short print.

Thanks for the tip for the teststrip for eight settings. It worked very well. At the end the problem was in the fact the spool didn't roll freely out of the drybox. Now I've printed it again without any problems!

RE: Again, first layer

After a few months printing very good, I wanted to print something that was bigger then what I normally print. First I ran again a small check strip to see whether my Z offset was still allright. Afterwards I printed a single layer over the whole board.

This was the result:

Is there something I can do to make a perfect first layer?

This is more advanced and takes a while to complete but it should help: https://help.prusa3d.com/article/bed-level-correction_2267
