ASA print crash detected/ layer shifting
hello
i'm starting with printing ASA in a homemade enclosure, with a temp controller set up at 40 celsius. The issue is that, even with the controller, i'm having "crash detected"(if crash detection is enabled) or layer shifting(if CD is disabled). smooth rods are ok, belt tension ok(measured with prusa's petg gauge). i'm wondering if these issues might be related to the TMC drivers/board being overheated. has anyone installed some sort of active cooling for printing in an enclosure?
thanks
RE: ASA print crash detected/ layer shifting
Is there a possibility that the nozzle gets snagged on the print corners warping upwards? This should be visible on the part.
RE: ASA print crash detected/ layer shifting
You are ment to mount board and PSU outside but for this issue it shouldn't be the problem but having board and PSU in an enclosure is a bit risky
Please help me out by downloading a model it's free and easy but really helps me out https://www.printables.com/@Hello_474427/models
RE: ASA print crash detected/ layer shifting
FWIW: my MK3S+ stays in a Lack enclosure. When I print PC or ASA in summer the temperature inside reaches almost 45C. The PSU is located outside the enclosure but the Einsy box remains inside, No problems with layer shifts or anything.
