Shipping delays for 3.9 upgrade, can Prusa please address this?

I ordered my 3.9 upgrade back when it said shipping would happen in late August. Early September the estimate changed to 'the week of Sept. 11'. That week is now essentially over (depending on time zone) and I fully expect the estimate on the order page to say something like 'October' in just a few hours here. I understand the realities of manufacturing delays or discovered issues, but it would really help if Prusa would bother to say as much, instead of these silent delays with no end in sight.

Please, can we get some communication?

Yes, an honest and realistic indication of how things stand now in terms of shipping planning is something I would also very much like to see. Instead of always supplying just this date or estimation here and there, which is then moved again anyway without comment or further information...

As you wrote, I also know very well the real life of the manufacturing industry, delays can unfortunately always happen. But their information policy is just not good...

I'd like to hear as well. My MK3S has some maintenance issues I need to address (like noisy bearings) and I have put it off thinking a MK3.9 rebuild would happen soon.

Agreed.  Especially since the last time they explained a reason for a delay was supposedly due to them discovering a design incompatibility with an older design that needed addressing.  One would think that if that was the case, once they identified who had the older design, they could just ship the upgrade to those of us unaffected by the issue.  But that questionnaire was sent out over a month ago now. 

I would be happier with a "look, we're having a tough time solving some issues, and we're not sure when we'll get them fixed.  We'll let you know when we start shipping."  These perpetually updated shipping dates that end up quietly getting changed with no explanation are pretty much the worst option, since they're continually setting and missing expectations.

And again, it would be a WHOLE lot better if they had waited to charge my credit card until they actually shipped the product.  We're nearing a 6 month loan that I've provided them.

I also am at the 6 month marker on my loan to them, but I am supposed to receive a MK3.9 kit for the price I paid in April for a MK3.5. I'll be OK with that, should it ever actually ship.

Prusa announced new MK4 firmware this week that also supports MK3.9. And they split the MK3.5 forum away from this MK3.9 forum. Progress. Even before the shipping announcement, I would love to see the printable parts list for the MK3.9. If it remains true that the 3.9 assembly retains the MK3's 8mm Z rods, and does not have the MK4's 10mm rods in the kit, per the MK3.9 sales page, then the printable parts cannot be the same as for MK4.
