Y AXIS End Stop Not Triggered

Hi All,

I'm having an issue that the end stop for the y axis isn't triggering because the bed isn't going back far enough. If i'm standing there and i push it a little it does then trigger but can't get there on it's own.

any ideas?

ps, it's about 1-2mm short or hitting it.

Re: Y AXIS End Stop Not Triggered

1. Check that Y-carriage is correctly orientated

2. Check that the left 2 Y bearings are close to each other

3. Check that the Y belt holder is correctly orientated

4. Check that the rear left Y bearing is not blocked by any plastic: When moving the bed to the endstop this bearing will enter the Y corner for about 10 mm.

Hope it will work out for you!

5. Check if the x/y-axises are particular and othogonal

6 Check if the y-motor is not twisted

7. Check if the y-endstop is mounted the right way

8. Check if the y-motor brace placed and fitted correctly

Check that there isn't excess (more than a few millimeters) of belt sticking out of the belt holder. If can get pulled into the pulley as the belt holder nears the endstop and interfere with bed movement.

Thanks everyone for posting replies.

I should have mentioned that the printer is assembled correctly and has hundreds of hours of printing, then this happened suddenly.

I have found the issue, the grub screw that holds the gear onto the shaft for the Y axis motor had come loose so the shaft was spinning but not pulling the bed all the way back.

I've tightened the grub screw and we're away printing again.

Thanks again.
