After printing the pinda mount i get a little bit worried it will give problems later on, trying to mount a spare pinda it requires me to screw the M3x10 all the way in to get it to stick and looks like it created a small crack in the part.
Tried adding a little bit of self vulcanising tape made it stick better but you might want to make the hole slightly smaller/bigger gap, and I also had to sand/cut some material in the slit it should fit in the x-carrage.
I would guess this will crack and brake loose if it hits a curled up print or something like that.
Has anyone else tried to use this aero mount yet or am I the first one?
Almost ready to try but need more time and a backup plan if it fails horribly 🙄

Strange. The pinda mount is straight from prusa. I printed in ABS and it came out fine. I did have to cut out a stringer in the notch on the x carriage but then it fit perfect. I have pushed on it hard to test the strength. I discovered it has a slight spring which is a nice side effect of the mount. It will be solid during leveling but tolerate some bumps during print. I suggest a pinda hat either way. Where did you see a crack?

Aha! ABS, that explains it, I only print parts in PETG (EDGE) and ABS do shrink a bit right? Should i Scale it down slightly before printing and do you know how much?
I print almost all spares and mods in PETG, the exception here was the fan mount as the supports can get somewhat tricky to remove otherwise (for me at least.)
I saw a small crack in the layers outside on the side where the square nut are and to the slit, but I did have to tighten it really hard for the pinda to stick.

I my experience, ABS shrinks about 2%. I don't know if Prusa pre-factored that into their scad models. Makes me think maybe I should increase the hole for the nema a hair. I'll take some measurements and compare to the source.

It works!
Some adjustments might still be required, had a long PM thread with jltx but it prints with stock firmware, i only had to flip the motor connector and the new pancake connector i used did not have lock notches so that was easy (or i could have soldered it that way)
Added this to Octopi gcode startup script and also the slic3r to get correct gearing even for old gcode files (i hope)

There is still some fixes that would be nice to have and that jltx is working on, big thanks for your help and it will hopefully be perfect with the modifications soon 😉

I'll try to answer all those questions when current print is ready and I can test,
But I found out that from FW 3.0.10 it's easy to store new extruder settings in eeprom thanks to JeffJordan, explained here: http://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-i3-mk2-f23/kit-printed-beautifully-now-under-extruding-t4060.html#p30210
So I tried to set it in octopi terminal and save to eeprom and that worked as expected so no need to mess with the gcode files or octopi startup scripts:
M92 E418.5
M500
And that initial value was pretty good for the PLA that was used for the test (97,1mm of 100mm extruded), will test some other filaments and just have separate material profiles with correct extrusion multiplier for that type( EDIT: using a method like this: http://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-i3-mk2-f23/new-option-calibrate-e-in-firmware-3-0-10-alpha2-t2905.html#p24322 )

Maybe. I might be able to squeeze it down to 2, but don't hold your breath. Is 3 a deal breaker?
Not really, but it's nice to have 250mm (or more). What is the limit ? Is it on the left or on the right side ? Maybe another x-carriage or x-end-motor/ilder will be nice ?
Latest V6 version should give full range on both X and Y and increase Z.

Quick question. What is the difference between v6 and v6b? I had both printed as my old heatbreak cracked, and I figured if I was replacing, might as well go Aero!

6b has small change to allow addition of bumper if you are using larger motor. See description on thingiverse which I updated recently.

So 6b is safe to use either way? Just asking because I have the smaller one from amazon, but the e3d slimline one will be here in a couple of days, and I figured I would go with whichever one extruded better (lots of testing to come)

Then you want 6b. I removed 6 altogether. You will need the bumper and extender to use e3d motor. See description.

Found a couple of minor issues with the v6b.
1. If you are using nozzle with even a slightly different thread length than the stock e3d, the orientation of the heater block will be different. I had to do a bit of shaving to make it fit, and it sits really close to the x-carriage.
2. Due to the same problem, the PINDA probe also sits within 1mm of the heater block.
3. May want to slightly increase the cutout on the x-carriage for the extruder as it prevents slight adjustments to the way the motor interfaces with the extruder itself.
4. Looks like a second set of mounting hole for for blower fan when using 25mm motors could be added eliminating the need for the additional spacer. Seems like the position with the spacer is near perfect though, so maybe this should be the only mounting position.
Some genius level things that you will hopefully never change.
1. The alignment pegs for the mount. Ensures even with some wiggle, the aero will always be vertical

For the MK2S I think the mount needs to move down between 1-2mm for the 25mm motor to clear the support on the left end of the X-Axis. The motor itself collides, and I ended up having to remove a chunk of the support off the bracket. See pic. Otherwise, about to fire this up and start printing tomorrow probably or Sunday.

Not getting PM from you. For some reason I thought it meant that you would have to dremel the Aero Motor mount, not the x-axis mount. In any event seems to work. Alternative would be to lower it by 1-2mm, but it seems to work either way.

Quick update. Appears the M907 E900-1000 (I am now using 1000) doesn't stick with an M500 command. So I just added it to my starting gcode routine in slic3r and S3D. No big deal, but important for others using the E3D motor instead of the pancake. By the way, having done both now, the pancake is the way to go.
