Thermal Runaway & Cooling
I'm stuck. My printer keeps getting hotend thermal runaway when set to 210. I need to adjust my fan down to 50% to keep the temps in a good range, but then the lack of cooling seems to mess up my top layers with ooze and other scratches? Typical scenario is it drops 10C in first 30seconds, then slowly drops to 190s until shutdown.
Any other suggestions? My basement is around 21C. My Prusa struggles, but my old Wanhao doesn't seem to have a problem.
Any other suggestions?
Re: Thermal Runaway & Cooling
What is your bed temp? 60 deg or higher?
I had runaways when I had a bed temp of 80 printing petg at umm, 245? i think. Solved it slowing down the fan speed

60C. I'm going to try an enclosure next
Re: Thermal Runaway & Cooling
You should not have a temp run away at 60°! There has to be something off.
Check on the sensor whether it still has good contact to the bed.
In certain cases with a very small thing, the fan at full speed and that directly above the sensor it could happen, though.
But with the bed at just 60° I would need a very exact aim to get a run away...
