Some layer problems which i can't diagnose what went wrong

Hi guys, I've finally upgraded my MK1 to MK2 and i've some problem with the kit.
The extruder parts has some layer cracking problem but i think i've manage to solve it with some super glue. The PSU part to mount to the frame is not able to fit correctly so i did not put it in.

The rest of the stuff was fitted properly , but only the heat bed which i need to enlarger a lil bit to fit cause the MK1 holes distance is a bit larger than the MK2 heat bed mount.

The prints came out not as good as i have expected from the MK1 which i have no problem on the print quality but just that i have first layer sticking issue which can be easily solved with blue tape and manual bed levelling.

For the MK2 upgraded, i am pretty happy with the heat bed and the auto levelling with live Z to tune the height accordingly but it gave me a some what
weird layer problem at a certain height which i cannot determine what was the problem.

Please take a look at the photos attached. The black parts was printed on the MK1 with same gcodes as the MK2 in blue PLA. They are from the same brand eSun PLA + but some how after the second print the layer problem was getting worst.

And i'm printing the vibration damper now and you can see the layers are good at that height but not sure if anything higher than that it will turn ugly again. Should i fix the PSU part to mount to the Y frame ? cause the part can be fitted can the hole is misaligned by few mm.

It's really weird that when i've printed the Adalinda and the Marvin, there's no such distortion appeared on the print.
It was quite a surprise. By looking at the objects that i've printed using the S3D updated version, i've got the distorted layer at certain height but not with the Adeline and the Marvin.

Could it be the S3D latest version bug ?

Apologies, I missed your first post.

Summary: when you print pre-sliced GCode supplied by PR, you print without issue, but when you slice and print a model, there is a problem.

Sounds to me as though you have a model, slicer or slicer setting issue.

If that is the case, then I would try going through the slicer settings, but that can be complicated, so I would revert to a simple slicer (Cura for example) and try slicing a model with that.

Just ensure that you have a first layer height of 0.15mm set, other than that it is quite simple to set up.

Roger that Peter. I'm slowly experimenting the setting. It seems like the setting since 7 July for S3D is not giving me any good result at all.
I have to follow the setting that i have been using on the MK1 and its getting there. But definitely its having problem printing at 50 microns. At 100 microns i get less distortion on the S3D. I will try Slic3R or Cura but i have no experience using those 2 yet.

I better stick to what i have been playing with and improve on that.

Thanks for the first layer height tip. You da man.
