[SOLVED] Sagging fan to nozzle part

Hi,
today I noticed that the part with a "HOT!" text on it is sagging and just barely not hitting what's being printed under it. It also most likely has negative impact on the amount of air that gets under the nozzle.

I was just wondering if anyone here has seen this before, all feedback is welcome 😉

It feels like the extruder-cover.stl part has slightly bent the screw hole mount and that's why the fan-nozzle.stl is now sagging, no idea how that happened (impact/temperature?)

Mines the same, I think it's where the hotend cartridge is pushed in to far and touches the plastic housing.

I have not had the issue.

Questions:

- Have you printed with non PLA
- Have any of your objects printed failed in a big way, meaning multiple hits to the print head from the printed object lifting
- Do you use a enclosure, is it vented, is it heated
- How many hours of printing / spools of filament / have gone into the printer before noticing
- Are you raising the printed head during the pre-heat? ( I have added this to the slicer stop / start custom code section)

I actually make timelapses of almost all prints I do, so I looked at the pictures and it wasn't there a week ago.

Yeah, lately I was often switching between ABS/PLA

Yes and no, I failed a few prints lately, but there never was a big heavy part pushed away by the print head, always just some supports breaking off during the print which caused some spaghetti extruding.

No I don't. It's in a heated room though (about 22C temp)

Almost none, I noticed after the first print of it being like this. I tried 2 more prints after that and it doesn't seem to be causing any actual problems atm.

I am not, sounds like a good thing to do.

It is the extruder cover bending from heat exposure.

I have re-printed all the extruder plastic parts from polycarbonate, problem solved.

Thanks, yeah I think so. Or the heat with combination of bumping into a small piece of failed print.
I don't have a polycarbonate on hand, so I'm probably gonna reprint it with ABS. I have PETG and HIPS, do you think any of those would be better?

Thanks everyone for your replies.
I printed the fan-nozzle.stl and extruder-cover.stl files with abs, replaced them and it's better than new 😉

Here you can see the old (orange) bent part next to the new one (red)

And here's how it looks now 😀 I recorded the whole exchange and will post a video here when I get around to cut the video. Eventhough it's "trivial" it might help someone in the future.
