Questions Reguarding First Layer Calebration

Without adjustment, my printer was print high off the bed for its first layer. The adjustment needed to correct it would be more (less?) than -1mm when calibrating. As suggested, I twisted the sensor counter clockwise, but I really had to get it up there for it to work. I'm about one full rotation on the cord with a -0.92mm Z level adjustment. My concern is, if I run calibrations again, will I have to reset the sensor in order to avoid scratching?

Additionally, I can't get any adhesion, but I did whip my bed down with windex in place of isopropyl alcohol, so I imagine that didn't help.

Loosen the screws holding the PINDA probe in place until they're almost falling out. Then, with only a small amount of force, you should be able to push the PINDA probe up or pull it down, as needed. I don't think rotating it is a good idea because that puts torsional strain on the wires and they'll likely eventually break.

Yeah, Isopropyl alcohol or acetone are your best options for cleaning the bed. However, that said, if your nozzle is too high, you're not going to get any adhesion. Getting the probe height set correctly is a bit of a pain, but I'd say, once you get that set optimally, and have good adhesion, you could even try the Windex again. But best not to put that variable in the equation at this point.
