Problems with upgrade print
Hey
I have some problems printing the upgrade parts for the MK2S.
First of all the orange ABS that came with the MK2S upgrade was all tangled up, so i had to use some green ABS that came with the printer when i bought it last year.
But with the gcode that prusa provided us with, the ABS wont stick to the bed at all. Unless if i lower the temp to 225 and 95 which gives the best result. But after around 2 hours into the print the x-axis shifts a few millimeters and screws up the print.
Im just to afraid that i will get some setting wrong and the print wont be good enough if i create my own gcode, since they provided us with that gcode.
Please help 🙂
Re: Problems with upgrade print
I don't do ABS, but this sounds like classic ABS curling, and catching the print, skewing things. First layer adhesion is a must, and requires a VERY clean bed. Also many people think an enclosure (to keep the print warmer, and prevent drafts) is a requirement for ABS. See this link to save you lots of ABS learning:

I use PETG as my goto "harder and warmer" than ABS filament (but I am still a new at filament types), but we WARNED, PETG will stick like you would not believe to PEI. It basically fuses to it, and will ruin the PEI sheet before it will come up. Use something as a separator. Glue Stick (purple) or Windex work well for me.
I hope that helps.
