Printing issue with larger prints

Hi all,

I received my Original Prusa last week and printed several things succesful, mostly the standard designs that come with the software.
But since yesterday I have a problem printing some larger objects, when getting a little bit higher (~20mm) the printing shifts slowly. Lower objects like the Batman don't have this problem, but for instance "Marvin" does.
I'm using PLA material.

Thanks for any help.
Alex

Hello Alex!

There is information in this link prusa-i3-kit-building-calibrating-first ... tml#p39190 describing common causes of layer shifting. Just scroll downwards a couple of lines. If there are no causes that fit your problem - please come with new findings - if any.

Hi Henrik,

Thanks for the link to that article, very helpful.
As a matter of fact the issue was caused of the filament spool couldn't run freely, the two holders were to tight. After giving this some more room the issue with moving x/y axis while printing didn't occur anymore.

Thanks again!

Alex
