Poor print quality - layers are not aligned
I have just made my first couple of prints on my original Prusa i3 mk2s and I can see that the layers are not correctly aligned. The issue seems to only affect one axis – from left to right. The photos below help shows this best.

As this is my first 3-D printer, I am not exactly sure how to quickly put this right. Any help would be most appreciated

Check to make sure the tension on the belts are good. They should be tight but not too tight. I know it's hard to judge tightness but think of a guitar string twang.
Also, make sure the grub screws on the pulleys are tightened against the flat spot of the motor shaft.
I would go to thingiverse and download this to test with. It is much smaller than the dragon and will take less time and filament to do your testing.

it looks like the layers are inaccurate rather than slipping., this could be due to a loose belt, or loose drive pulley, or perhaps the bed not being well secured. it looks as if the relationship between the extruder and the model are a bit 'loose'... (poorly constrained)
if the layers were slipping out of alignment because of lost steps on the stepper motors the model above the point of slip would be offset ( Like the attached picture) in the direction of the slippage, where as your model seems pretty much aligned apart from the misalignment of the individual defective layers...

The belt for the x axis is definitely looser that the other belt. How do I tighten it? Is there a video guide at all? Thanks!

Slacken and remove two motor screws. Top left and bottom right.
Loosen the top right screw enough to let the motor swivel this will further loosen the belt a little more. Pull the belt out of the back of the x carriage at one end. And tighten the belt one notch. Then replacce the moror screws and the belt should end up tighter.
