Use glue stick as separator. Same goes for flex filaments.

Use talcum powder to restrict sticking.
I find it easier to clean off the prints, than adhesive. I find the glue goes streaky and messes the first layer...

Do you mean adjust the first layer thickness in Slic3r?

Basically, it means increase the distance between nozzle and bed so the filament is not squished hard onto the bed.

Best way to do this is by using the Live Z Adjust to increase the gap (unless your slicer allows you to under-extrude the first layer, such as the Bed Roughness setting within KISS).

I found that esun PETG (no matter cold or hot plate) is easy to remove with a round spatula (painters palette knife made sharp). But I never had the feeling it wil peel of while printing.

But a different PETG from https://www.3dpsp.de/ (good stuff!) is even harder to remove when the bed is cold! So I try to remove it at 40-55°C.

Not sure if we will regret this later, however we use canned air. the stuff we get comes from the office supply place used to dust off keyboards and like. We turn the can upside down and spray the cold liquid near the base of the print on the print causing it to pop off.

I've not tried this personally (haven't printed PETG recently), but I've talked to a few guys who use other printers who tell me that if you use ISA (rubbing alcohol) to clean your bed it'll make it stick really hard to PETG (and I have seen this). They recommend using windex instead and say it helps.

In my experience on the Mk2 (and naturally if it's in my experience then it *must* apply to your situation as well, right? ;-]) if it doesn't ever stick you probably need to lower your Z. Lower it until it sticks. Lower it until nothing comes out anymore then raise it a bit and see if things stick; they'll be smashed on the bottom layer, but then you have a baseline and you can raise it a bit more.

It could also be that you need to raise your bed temp, but that's hard to be sure without knowing more about what you're doing.

Depending on my z adjust, my PETG is either welded to the bed or easily pealed off. I'll take the latter any day as long as the print works. I've been literally scratching the bed trying to get some of it to come over the last few days. I do clean the bed between each print with 91% alcohol if it matters or helps.

I use water and dish wash on a sponge between PETG prints. Works great with flexible filaments too.
