Nozzle screw thread snapped off in hotend

Hi All,

I was changing a nozzle on my MK1 and when I screwed in the new nozzle the screw thread snapped off inside the end of the extruder.

I guess I need to get a new E3v6 lite hotend kit as I can't get the screw thread out, but I'm not sure what to get?

http://e3d-online.com/Lite6

I'm Assuming its the Direct one but 12v or 24v?

Cheers,
Steve

I believe the Mk1 is e3d v6 lite... 12 volt!

I use a smear of Coppaslip when I change nozzles, it seems to reduce friction and make changes, easier.... internal waste coppaslip gets expelled when you prime the printer hot end next time, external waste evaporates leaving the copper particles behind...

Thanks Joan! I guess I should be paying more attention to what I'm doing with my torque wrench...

OK new hotend kit coming form E3D...

Cheers
Steve

Best wishes Steve,

you will have a spare heater capsule and thermistor after you fit your new hot end...

please consider coppaslip or similar... you only need a tiny amount. to make a tremendous difference in the future.

One thing I suggested for this situation was to get the Block and Sock upgrade from E3D as it doesn't give extra parts.

Dimensions PNG

and an 8 inch (200mm) or greater caliper is recommended.
