How did you get free shipping? I've had my MM Upgrade ordered since 9/28/16 and I was offered shipping at $33. I backed out of the cart because $33 shipping was almost as much as the upgrade itself.

Open a chat session and explain the situation. They'll give you a free shipment code to add to the order.
Re: MK2S Upgrade now available
Hi,
I've just ordered the MK2S upgrade.
Does anybody know if it will be OK to print the new parts in PETG?
Also, which parts are upgraded on the MK2S? Not sure what to print for the upgrade.
Thanks,

On http://www.prusa3d.com/prusa-i3-printable-parts/ there's a link titled "Download MK2S upgrade g-codes". The resulting zip file contains two g-code files, one for the ABS parts, one for the PETG parts. They should consist of what you need to print for the upgrade from MK2 to MK2S.
Re: MK2S Upgrade now available
Hi,
Thanks for the link.
I now know which parts to print in advance.
I'm still not sure if I can simply edit the gcode file to adjust nozzle and bed temps for PETG though and print it all in PETG.
I'm wondering if shrinkage compensation has been factored in by Prusa for the ABS. I don't want to print the parts in PETG and then find out nothing fits!!
Maybe I will have to experiment if nobody has tried this.
Cheers.
Re: MK2S Upgrade now available
If you want to print the ABS parts in Petg, it may be easier to download the stl files from here :- https://github.com/prusa3d/Original-Prusa-i3/tree/MK2S
I have printed them in Petg from these files and they were a perfect fit. However, the printer / slicer combo I used is particularly well calibtated for the Hatchbox filament I used, all be it more by happy accident rather than any skill on my part 😉
I've never used Pet-g this close to a hot end before so there may be a sticky cleanup job on the horizon.....
Re: MK2S Upgrade now available
Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
Don't worry about PETG and hot ends. My part fan is made from PETG and it is fine. That sits right up near the heat block / extruder.
On the subject of printing from the STL's, did you need any support for some of the overhangs on the extruder body stl?
I can't see a printing orientation that would obviate the need for supports.
Thanks,
Re: MK2S Upgrade now available
No supports Adrien, printed with the side that screws to the carriage down as in the gcode file.
At the risk of being thrown out, used my rostock mini delta which has a cheap knock of hot end and no part fan so should be a doddle on the Mk2.
Re: MK2S Upgrade now available
Ok, Thanks for the info.
Time to get printing!
Re: MK2S Upgrade now available
Previewing the MK2s gcode i see some skirt circles to prevent the ABS from warping. But how are these skirt circles done? I cannot find any setting in Slic3r (the gcode is generated with Slic3r) to add these AND the STL files do not include the skirt circles!
