Hotend thermistor not changing

I recently moved my printer so decided to run self test and calibration again, all worked fine. However, when trying to print I noticed that the hotend temperature was not changing and stays at a constant 23 degrees.
I can feel heat coming off the hotend so it must be a thermistor problem. My question is why did the self test pass? I ran it twice and both times it passed.
Also, why would a broken thermistor give a fixed value, surely it would give no value?

Thanks

Re: Hotend thermistor not changing

Question: Is the thermistor still inside the heat block?

Yes, I double checked that. The thermistor hasn't moved.

Re: Hotend thermistor not changing

mixed up the bed and the hotend thermistor at the rambo ?

-----

aaah, just a moment: not every print starts with heating up the hotend ! it depends on how the start script inside the gcode is structured.
is your "set temperature" still 0°C ? or is it something around 200°C and still nothing happens ?
might even be that your hotend heating cartridge is disconnected from the rambo... so that it really remains at room temperature.

I really don't understand why this 4 month old thread has been resurrected.

I would imagine the OP has managed to resolve the problem by now.
