Hot end part ?

Hello,

I had a problem during a print. Supposed the part didn't stick to the bed, and everything move with the head.
So, I've fot a big blob of melted pla surronding the nozzle and hot end.
I've tried to pull parts out, breaking slowly the pla.
I'm quite clear now - just some stuck between the cube of the nozzle and the cooler (if anyone get an idea how to pull that out?).
But I think I break a wire, cause I see some in the blob... Is there a wire at the small cylinder part through the head ? Is that temperature sensor ? Is it possible to change that ?
Is there a way to test if the heater is dead or is ok ?
If needed, where to buy a new hot end ? (Can't find it on the shop)

Edit : I find the needed parts : thermistor and heater cartridge.
So... How to pull out the old one ? Everything is stuck in pla...

And I also need help : will probably buy a new nozzle. Which one is the original mk2s one ? And is there a smaller one to achieve more detailed print ? Is that just a swap of the nozzle, or is there other parts to change ?

Thanks.
I will go for prusa ones - but shipping is expensive !

About the nozzle : I got a .4 one.
Is there some smaller ? Could it permit a more detailed print ? I'm sometime printing some 28mm miniatures.

Re: Hot end part ?

smaller nozzles will give you more details but tend to get clogged often and the printing time increases exponentially.

by default Prusa supports 0.4 nozzles so you won't have to mess around with printer settings if you keep the stock nozzle size.
