Help identify problem with print

I have recently been having problems with layers shifting, or at least that is what I think is going on. It doesn't seem to happen at a reliable z height and sometimes manifests as poor corners. Below are some pictures of the problems I have been having.

You can see in the picture that at the top of the print it starts shifting where it should remain a straight line. Does anyone have any ideas for what I need to adjust to get things printing well again.

Thanks,
Nathan

Re: Help identify problem with print

Hello Nathan!

Well there are numerous things that can make it print like that. See http://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/prusa-i3-kit-building-calibrating-first-print-main-f6/-before-you-ask-troubleshooting-video-updated--t472.html , section 'Print suddenly shifts in X or Y and keeps printing'.

So please check those things - we can take it from there after that, if nothing seems to help.

I have looked through that guide, I will have to check on my belts, they didn't feel too loose last night but I will check again. The shift seems to be gradual and not a sudden shift.

The slow shifting would let me look at the motor pulleys. Check that they are tight on the motor axle.

I will take a look at that tonight, didn't get a chance to mess around with it last night. Thanks!
