Cura issue. It sees the printer than doesn't. Any thoughts?
I got my printer today and did a test print of the Prusa logo from the SD card and it worked great. I moved to slic3r to try to print something and it oddly would not find my files. (My fault, forgot they were in zipped files)
Not knowing this I moved to Cura, which printed a test print just fine. I moved to a print of the Eiffel Tower. As soon as I opened Cura, it seemed to cause the printer to reset. The fans shut down, the LCD went blank, and then it all came back. Cura found the printer, but after I started the print, its systems went blank but the printer kept going. I stopped everything and closed out Cura to try again. When I restarted the software, the printer "reset" again.
Is this a common issue with Cura? It happens every time I open a file. While the printer is printing my tower, Cura is again blank. (When I say blank, it's open but no longer receiving temps, etc. from the printer and says no printer detected)
It's not the pc locking up. I can close the software after prints are done.
I'm using Windows 10 and running off a USB cable. Windows sees the printer in device manager. As I just got it today, I'm going on the assumption the firmware is up to date.
I'm open for suggestions. Thanks!
On another note...I can't seem to load..STL files in slic3r.
