Changing to new spool mid print causes extruder to extrude really fast
So i was printing a piece for over 12 hours and it was time for a new spool.
1 I paused the print
2 moved the extruder slightly to the right (in anticipation for the oozing and small extruded piece loading filament creates)
3 unloaded the filament
4 loaded new spool
5 resume print
6 extruder moves at ludicrous speed which causes print failure 🙁
The order steps 2 and 3 might of been done in different order i forgot. My extruder starts extruding at some crazy fast speed and needed emergency manual filament unloading to prevent a serious clog. I forget about this every time i need to do this and it allays messes up my prints. any way to save the print or a better way to load a new spool mid print?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Pable
I guess you didn't use the "Change Filament" menu option?

Do you mean the Unload Filament and Load Filament options in the menu? Those are the ones I used, is there a change filament operation?

When printing, click the knob, select "Tune" then select "Change Filament".
It is explained in the manual... 😉
