Y-Splitter metal tube out of alignment?

I've assembled the Y-Splitter according to the instructions but one of the metal tubes is really off-center

If I remove the tube it seems the hole isn't really round:

I can make filamente enter it only with difficulty. Perhaps this is something I could do myself, but I don't have any tools this small. What would I need? Some kind if teensy file? Any other ideas?

But even so, the instructions say "make sure filament can pass into the PTFE tube without any resistance" ( http://manual.prusa3d.com/Guide/Multiplexer/374#s6206 ) . The other tubes etc seem okay, but I can't say filament enters "without any resistance". There is a definite drag when it passes through the metal tube and I definitely notice a bump (not like an obstacle, just a sharp increase in drag) when it enters the PTFE tube. Are the instructions correct and there's something wrong with my assembly or is the "without any resistance" a bit of an exaggeration?

The top of the tube should move around and self-centre.

Of not there is possibly a piece of plastic swarf preventing that happening. Try to carefully clean out the printed part.

No, it doesn't budge at all. It's very snug unlike the others that have some wiggle room.

Thing is I don't think I have anything so small to try to smooth any excess material. Unless it would be to try to break it away. But I'm a bit hesitant doing that with the inside of the Y-splitter 😉

I'll go to a hardware store tomorrow and see if they have like a _very_ fine file or something,

You could try a 1.8mm drill bit, by hand twisting slowly as you lower it.

Tako,

See if you can find a set similar to this at your local hardware store. They may not be the best file set but they do work extremely well for our purpose.

@PJR: This was actually a very good idea. Thanks.

I didn't need (nor do I have) a 1.8mm drill bit, but the obstruction was higher up in the Y-splitter where a 3mm drill bit enters easily and with that I was able to smoothen out the walls. The filament enters much more smoothly now.(There's still some difference between the 4, but it's much better in general).

@richard: that seems like a good idea yes 🙂
