Slic3r MM Soluble Interface issues
Hi,
- Print Settings: 0.20mm normal soluble interface
- Extruder 1 is PLA
- Extruder 4 ist PVA
On the screenshot, the white colour is the printed part itself, and the brownish one is the support.
However as you can see on the actual printed part, the printer does not print all the supports with PVA.
Anyone else has this problem?

As far as I understand it, the printer (slic3r actually) is not supposed to print all supports with the soluable material.
Just the interface between print and support gets printed in pva.
In other words, working as intended.

nope. Do you have a MM printer? In Slic3R you have 2 options for soluble supports:
1. Soluble Full -- > all the supports are printed from PVA
2. Soluble Interface --> only the interface layers are printed from PVA
So no, it's not working as intended. I chose "Soluble Interface" so the interface layers should be printed of PVA, just like on the screenshot, with brown colour.
If you look at the photo, you can see that the interfaces are printed from PLA, NOT from PVA. This is just wrong.
Interestingly, this happens only on the upper part of the model - the lower part is printed correctly with soluble interfaces.

I have not had that problem. Slic3r 1.37.1 But I have never done only two. I have only done 3 colors PLA + Soluble supports in E4.
I am not positive, but I think in mine Slic3r has put some Soluble support in the supports. But because of close colors I am not positive. One is printing now and I will check it closer.
