Mulit Color Gcode Prep Issues

I am trying to print a two part multi color print using ABS for both parts. I have looked at both the manual and youtube video for gcode prep for multicolor and neither explain it based off of the 1.37.1 slicer edition. All my settings in the software are set to default and in the video it has multi color as an option to select but that's not there for me. Additionally when I add parts as they show in the video my 2 files dont connect how they are supposed to. I modeled the part that goes into the other with the same sketch for both objects so I don't understand why it doesn't recognize this.

Multi Material upgrade went really well I am just not getting the software side of things to work so I have not been able to use the multi upgrade yet. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

I think you may have the wrong version of Slic3r

the red arrow points to the multimedia version on my windows 10 pc.

I hope this helps

Joan,

I solved the issues of not having the right slicer. However, the part still won't fit when I load it. Do you suggest having a multi color print as one part then using mesh mixer or create it as 2 separate parts that have the correct geometry for them to fit together. Thanks in advance for the help!
