Problem with SD Card

Hi, I've been having issues on taking the sd card that were used for my prusa i3 mk2 into my laptop's sd card reader. Often I have to replug the sd card until I'm able to write gcode file into it. Although the laptop able to detect the sd card were in, but it will immediately plays the "unplugged" sound although the sd card physically inside the reader.

Even though it is plugged in and the software do tells me it is inside, often I'm unable to write any files into it right away, had to re-plug multiple times and waste at least 5-30 mins just to get a single file written into it.

my laptop is running win10 64bit. I also tried to use other sd card. The one supplied with the printer were dead and I'm unable to write anything into it anymore. I have about 2-3 micro sd and micro sd to sd adapter. Tried swapping, formatting them using sdformatter renders the same. I have not used the external sd card reader yet.

What I do know is that I have a custom machine running on vanilla marlin, I'm able to read the sd card from the custom machine right away without troubles.

Anyone had this problem before?

Re: Problem with SD Card

Clean the contact pins of the SD-card.

Maybe the card is spent. Cheap SD-cards doesn't lasting long.

Re: Problem with SD Card

do you always use the "Eject" function on your PC before removing the card?

failure to do so, will shorten it's useful life!

I seldom do that but I also tried the eject in the past, the problem was still there. The custom machine running on vanilla marlin however I never use eject but still able to do operation on it without much of an issues
