Problem getting soluble filament to load, but others OK
I'm using the Prima Select soluble filament recommended by Prusa and purchased with my MMU upgrade. The MMU seems to mostly work without the problems noted by others. ! 😉 ! Except that it has lots of trouble loading the Prima Select soluble filament. (Other filaments load OK.) Am I imagining things.

I'm having the same problem. Very frustrating since this is the whole reason I got the Prusa.

Absolutely cannot get Prima Select PVA+ Soluble filament to feed reliably. Either loading or unloading. It won't grab (settings too loose) or it stalls and the gears chew halfway through the filament (settings too tight). I doubt I've gotten 10mm through the nozzle but I have multiple meters of cut off waste in the garbage trying to get the feed right. This is too expensive not to work! On top of that, the gears get full of filament dust and need constant attention. As far as my experience goes, this is a defective product and I do not recommend anyone buy it.

I'm having the same problem here. I've tried both the PVA+ and the Verbatim BVOH from Prusa's store. These experiments are getting very expensive, and I still have nothing to show for it. Like HHughes, I bought the printer primarily to use with soluable material, and I'm extremely disappointed.
Has anyone been successful with soluable filament yet?

I found a hint elsewhere to "bake" the filament. I put the reel of filament in the oven at 150-degrees F for 4 hours. It worked much better after that. I also found other (non- Prima Select) brands to perform better, but this baking treatment worked reasonably well. I also found that I could repeat the treatment if the Prima Select got gushy again.
Despite all of this, none of the soluble filaments are as soluble as I'd like. There is still some work to get it all off.

Interesting that baking helps. My reel of filament was brand new when I first had failures. I would have expected it to be as dry as it ever would be when just fresh out of the bag. I will have to try the baking idea, but even if that works, it is a pain to have to do that just to make it do what it was bought to do.
