Trouble with Maintaining Vertical Prints (Leaning)

Hi Guys

I am having difficulty maintaining properly vertical prints.

When i print out something essentially organic in shape, a figure etc, it works fine.

When i print out something more rigid i get wobbles in what should be vertical lines.

Most worryingly of all when i print something complicated, the print works just fine for the first few mm and then it starts to lean further and further to the left if i slice with Cura or right if i slice with Slicer.

Any ideas how i can stop this?

Its driving me crazy

Hmmm

I see that its not an uncommon issue.

I'm not sure i've seen any explanation that i think fits.

It happens every time so it is something consistent, it happens no matter the orientation of the print so it is unlikely to be 'catching' i think.

I may try slicer again and see if it consistently leans one way or the other. It certainly leaned differently to Cura the first time.

I'm trying different retraction, in case it is a case of catching

Hmm it seems the first few mm are straight then there is a consistent shift then it is straight again

Its something to do with the model, if i shift the print up a few mm then the point at which the shift occurs also moves up.

I suppose its just too complicated.

Its a pity because i printed something very similar about a year ago with none of these problems
