Layers not sticking to each other

Hi,

Since some time I have the issue that layers (using PLA from Prusa) are not sticking properly to each other. First layer is not the issue, but subsequent layers are weak. Sometimes the print finishes ok, but structure is weak. And sometimes layers just get loose during the print and makes a mess.

I use the standard PLA Slic3r settings (210/55 C) . It propably has something to do with temperature and/or cooling settings but I can't figure out how to solve this.
Any suggestions are very much appreciated.

Kind regards,
Alex

Re: Layers not sticking to each other

/hi Alex, can we see some pictures, this could be under extrusion, or too cold extruder.
is your filament running free? is your extruder clicking?

I once tried to print ABS at PLA temperatures,

layer adhesion was negligible.

Re: Layers not sticking to each other

As I threw away all trials I had to start some new prints. Looking at the benchy, after a few properly printed layers it comes loose but strangely enough it continues printing quite well although the structure is not very strong and I can peel off the layers.
The other trial also first layers perfect, than suddenly it doesn't stick anymore and it's printing in the air.
Using the standard Prusa PLA settings with Slic3r and everything seems to be working properly only the result is not ok.

Any help is appreciated.
Alex
