Large x-axis shift during long print, help?
I had a print go wrong last night. It happened while I slept, so I don't know what happened.
About 1/2 through the print, the x-axis shifted about 1cm.
The print, both before and after the shift, looks very nice, but it's unusable.
I've never had this happen.
The models were sliced in Slic3r.
The x-axis belt is not loose.
Any thoughts, help, suggestions?

Photo of print and printer would help.
Also - try turning off the filament sensor. There is a long thread about a firmware issue that the sensor being on might make worse.

A couple of other suggestions:
Make sure you print in high-power (not silent) mode.
Enable Z-lift in the slicer
Or you could search the forums for "layer shift". There's about 80 pages of hits.
